ANTRAVEL - Special Episode 3D 2N YOGYAKARTA [City of Culture] - Day 02

DAY 02 – UNFORGETTABLE YOGYAKARTA
Members of group must be ready at 8 a.m. They have breakfast at the hotel.
The first destination today will be Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat. Because today is the real summer tour, the group must be prepared some summer suits, hats, and others.

KRATON NGAYOGYAKARTA HADININGRAT
“This palace is the icon of Yogyakarta. It means a lot for the city as well as the citizens. The palace shows that Yogyakarta still have Royal Family who is believed by Yogyakarta people. Since the colonial era, Yogyakarta was always saved because of the Royal Family especially Sultan Hamengku Buwono IX. These days, the 9th’s son, Sultan Hamengku Buwono X is replacing his father to protect and nurturing Yogyakarta. Kraton has thousands collections and it all shows how amazing the Yogyakarta’s cultures is. Tourists who come to Yogyakarta cannot go back without visiting the palace because it would become regret.”

Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X

After enjoying how high the cultural density of Yogyakarta, the tourists will be brought to Taman Sari.

“A place used by candidates for the Sultan's concubines to bath, then Sultan will choose one of the ladies to become his concubine. Even it has no longer used; the place is becoming more famous because of the story on it.”

Today’s third destination will be Kota Gedhe. We will let the tourist to spend a lot of money here so it would help our country financial. But we will also take some pictures in TUGU of Yogyakarta, one of famous icons here. Before going to Kota Gedhe, the tourists should be brought to Wijilan to enjoy their Gudeg.

"Tugu is the one of Yogyakarta famous icons. Tugu was built by Hamenku Buwono I who built the Kraton as well. It lies in one line of Mt. Merapi and Kraton. It also used by Sultan Hamengku Buwono I to know the direction of meditation because it is pointing the top of Mt. Merapi. These days, Tugu is used as an attraction object."

KOTA GEDHE
Kota Gedhe is really famous of its silver. Tourist must spend their money here. Buying a lot of silver souvenirs of Kota Gedhe is a really fun!

WIJILAN
It still in Kraton area, but Wijilan has its own charm because it is the center of Gudeg in Yogyakarta. Gudeg is the most famous Yogyakarta’s cuisine so the tourist can have Gudeg as their lunch. But be careful because usually, foreigners don’t like Gudeg because it’s too sweets.

After shopping at Kota Gedhe, I will bring the tourist to Malioboro and let them spend their money again. Not only the mall, but hundreds shops are waiting them to spend their money in Jogja…

"Malioboro is the most famous street in Yogyakarta. Like MongKok in HongKong, as the downtown of Yogyakarta, Maliobor has thousands interesting things. The tourists also can buy some traditional things for gift there."

Spending a day with shops makes the tourists hungry, so I will bring them to Jimbaran Restaurant for dinner. Maybe not all the tourists like the food they had during the tour it were local cuisines, so for today’s dinner, they will enjoy some seafoods. After having dinner, tourists will be sent to the hotel to take a rest.
